Description
Our natural Mentha piperita essential oil for cosmetics comes from the species Mentha piperita, a herbaceous plant in the Lamiaceae family. The product is offered under the name Mentha Piperita natural essential oil for cosmetics. The species owes its origin to a natural cross between two closely related wild members of the genus, which botanists regard as fully proven. The genus finds a suitable environment in Bulgaria, where the raw material for the product originates and where the crop holds an established place among the local essential oil plantations. The plantations are maintained naturally, which is evident in the purity of the final liquid. The liquid is an entirely natural oil from a single plant species. The composition remains free of preservatives and colourants, and the aromatic picture depends solely on the plant raw material. The aromatic picture is defined by the fresh and sharp menthol tone, which transitions into a sweet-spicy softness. The tone feels strong and clearly defined, as steam distillation transfers the volatile constituents of the plant into the final product unchanged. The distillation covers the entire aboveground stalk, in whose glandular hairs on the leaves and on the stalk the plant accumulates almost the entire volatile aromatic fraction. The stalk also brings green parts into the distillation, which is why the otherwise colourless liquid acquires a pale yellowish-green tint. The consistency remains liquid and free-flowing. The natural origin and the absence of supplements define the pure character of the oil. The oil retains the natural profile of the plant and, in addition, remains homogeneous throughout its volume. The sharp menthol freshness remains a lasting hallmark of the Mentha piperita species.
Application

It is applied in lip balms with a slight tingling, in exfoliants, scrubs and massage oils with a cooling note, in after-shave formulas with a soothing effect and in products for sensitive skin after sun exposure. It is used in shampoos to refresh and balance the scalp, against dandruff and itching, in natural soaps with a fresh herbal profile, in deodorants with antiseptic properties and in oral hygiene products with a minty flavour. Use only aluminium or glass bottles for cosmetic products, preferably made of dark glass, which protect the essential oil for cosmetics from light.
